Building on the release of their stunning debut ‘Bullet’ last year, this London-based Scottish duo, aka LOVE SICK, deliver another heartfelt pop gem with ‘Hope’. Sweeping in with distant sirens, electronic snips and digital staccato, Glaswegian producer Shaun immediately starts the feels going, ready for when the Stirling singer Julie interjects her glassy pop vocal. After this first minute, ‘Hope’ morphs slightly from pop-electronica into club tune thanks to the atmospheric piano and Julie’s soaring voice, leading up to an ever-so-subtle drop. This is definitely one ready for a few remixes, giving the track renewed life once we’ve had the original version on repeat and sung in the shower a suitable amount of times.
